Marks 32nd year of bringing tennis to at-risk communities
Thanks to the continued funding by the LA84 Foundation, children ages 7-17 can receive tennis instruction at 135 Southern California locations offered by the Southern California Tennis Association Foundation (SCTAF).
Funded by the LA84 Foundation for the past 32 years, the SCTAF National Junior Tennis League (NJTL) program will provide over 10,000 youngsters with an opportunity to gain tennis experience and growth. Participation is offered to those in economically disadvantaged communities.
Each participant in the LA84 Foundation SCTAF/NJTL youth tennis program receives 24 hours of tennis instruction during a six-week period, a T-shirt, Certificate of Participation, a Special Activity Day, and a tennis racquet if needed. There is a registration fee of $10.00, however scholarships are offered in case of economic need.
Thank you to the LA84 Foundation for their continued support for the NJTL program. Without this partnership the SCTA could not offer this program to as many sites in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. And thanks to all the NJTL instructors that help with each NJTL site and mentor and support our kids!
Parents can register at the sites where the program is offered. For further information and a complete listing of all the locations of the LA84 Foundation SCTAF/NJTL, please go to https://sctafnjtl.org/ or contact Evan Smith at 310 208-3838 x251.
