SCTA Executive Director to Step Down in May

USTA SoCal Executive Director Bruce Hunt recently announced his retirement, effective May 31, 2017.

“It’s been my pleasure to serve the staff, volunteers and members of the SCTA as its Executive Director since August of 2013,” Bruce said. “I hope I am remembered for helping to create a team that focused on customer service, sportsmanship, innovation and marketing in order to grow the tennis pipeline in Southern California.

“Together,” Bruce adds, “we took the SCTA from the seventh to the fifth largest Section of the USTA.  Well done!”

Bruce will be returning to San Diego, where he will trade his laptop for lob shots, playing tournaments and leagues there.

“I look forward to the experience,” Bruce said.
