There are still a few more days to register for a prestigious event moving from the East Coast to Southern California at the end of July.
The New Balance High School Tennis Championship will feature some of the best interscholastic tennis players in the country and will be held at Weil Academy in Ojai from July 24-27.
And just like the classic Boys’ CIF Interscholastic division played each April at the venerable Ojai Tournament, all entrants must have participated on their respective varsity high school teams during the 2016-17 school year. On July 27th the tournament will honor one boy and one girl as the New Balance High School Tennis Champion. There are no National or Sectional USTA points awarded for this tournament. This is a national-level event and is listed on the USTA national schedule.
For the past three years, the unique boys’ and girls’ tournament took place in Boston. The application deadline has been extended to Wednesday, July 5, and you register via the TennisLink site here:

These elite high school athletes will also get the opportunity to participate in a variety of other activities during the week courtesy of New Balance, including:
- Welcome reception and opening ceremonies
- Focus groups on topics including consumer behavior and product preferences girls’ and boys’ footwear and apparel
- BBQ Pool Party
- NB Pro Appearance
