The Wilson Inland Empire Fast4 Grand Prix concluded last week with the top performers in the series facing off in the grand finale.
It was a great success and the innovative Fast4 format – one day round robin, four point games, four game sets, four rules – was well received by all the players.
The four simple rules:
- No-Ad scoring
- Tiebreak at 3-all
- First to 4 games wins the set
- Receiver picks side at 3-all
The entire series ran smoothly, with players showing great sportsmanship on court and really enjoying the whole event. Kelly Bollman, Women’s 3.5 Champion, commented “I had a great time, made some new friends and I can’t wait for the next Fast4 event.”
Competitor Lawrence Davis commented, “The shorter sets and one-day format were great, a full day of tennis against multiple opponents was really fun and much more social.”
Men’s 3.0 Champion Phil Horn also liked the format, “Loved the multiple matches, and every one of them was super competitive.”
