Two’s Company: Junior Doubles Wraps a Busy 2018


The 116th rendition of the USTA SoCal Doubles Sectionals wrapped up in November as the fall weather crept, the winds started to blow, and the days got a little shorter.  The tournament will have significant ramifications as to who will be crowned 2018 Bryan Bros. Doubles Race Winners. There is more tennis to be played before the new year, but as we get closer to the end of competition, here are your leaders heading into the December 26 deadline.

Dynamic Duo Level 3 Coming in December

A new Innovative team event comes to Barnes Tennis Center, San Diego State University, and Balboa Park on December 15 – 16. Players will enter the tournament as Mixed Doubles Team; there will be one Mixed Doubles Match and one Singles Match per gender representing a possible 3 points. The winner of 2 or 3 of the matches will move on to the next round. Each team entered is guaranteed two matches as there will be a first round consolation format being played. Selection process will be based on SoCal standings list and seeding for event will be done
by UTR. Don’t miss this new and exciting team event in December!
