The Adult League Coordinator is a full-time member of USTA Southern California’s Adult Tennis
Department. The coordinator will work from the section office to organize events and carry out
important administrative duties for the USTA League program. The goal of this position is to create
meaningful player experiences at section-run events and work on various projects to help grow USTA
Leagues in Southern California. A successful candidate will have excellent time management skills, a high
attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. He/she will report to the Director of Adult Tennis.
Primary Duties
Organize and help run all Section League Championships (12+ per year)
Perform all administrative work leading up to section events including, but not limited to:
o Creating match schedules
o Organizing event lunches
o Ordering promotional items
o Securing officials, event staff, volunteers, etc.
o Booking host hotels
Manage event and program budgets
Cultivate and maintain working relationships with vendors and venues
Develop working relationship with area league coordinators, players, and captains
Work with Area League Coordinators to help new players find teams
Help grow and enhance our captain and player recognition programs
Provide technical support for players and captains for all league-related inquiries
Develop deep understanding of the national and section league regulations, National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP), and section policies
Assist Section League Manager in program-related projects
Qualifications
• Knowledge of USTA adult programs, specifically USTA Leagues
• Previous experience managing and working tennis events
• Experience with Adobe, Google, and Microsoft Office suites
• Ability to travel daily in reliable car; Valid CA Driver’s license required
• Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary
• Highly motivated, strong organizational skills, relationship management skills, enthusiasm, and a team player
Compensation
This is a full-time position. Benefits offered include a 401k plan, medical and dental
insurance, and laptop. Base salary commensurate with experience.
SafePlay Background check required along with completion of SafeSport training.
