Cultural Event: Hispanic Heritage Month at Barnes Tennis Center

USTA Southern California is proud to recognize Hispanic Heritage Month with a cultural event scheduled for Saturday, September 17 (2pm-6pm) at Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego. The event is open to the public.

Celebrating the rich diversity of Hispanic cultures in Southern California, this free cultural tennis event will include kid-zones, wheelchair and adaptive courts, adult and youth live-ball, music, food trucks, guest panelists, and more. No tennis experience is necessary.

This event runs concurrent with the ATP San Diego Open, a men’s professional tournament held for the second consecutive year at Barnes Tennis Center. Guests of the Cultural Event will gain free entry to Saturday’s qualifying rounds of the tournament (beginning at 11:30am), in addition to all on court festivities, clinics, and a panel discussion headlined by International Tennis Hall of Famer Rosie Casals and renowned coach Angel Lopez.

The USTA Southern California Hispanic Heritage Month Cultural Event is made possible by Barnes Tennis Center, the Richard Pancho Gonzalez Youth Foundation, and the Love & Love Tennis Foundation.
