The Jim Buck Level 1 Team Championships (tournament ID #650021417) will take place this September 2-4, during the Labor Day holiday weekend.

This year, a number of changes are being implemented.

During the selection process, the top sixteen players will be entered based on UTR in each age division, with teams compiled via ‘waterfall’.

Each team includes one boy and one girl from each age division, playing round robin matches consisting of singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. After two days of round robin, the top team from each group will advance on Monday to semifinals and finals.

Each player will play a minimum of three singles and three doubles matches, with the finalists competing in five of each. All players earn SCTA Standings points based on their team finish.

The Jim Buck Team Invitational will take place at four locations, including Costa Mesa Tennis Center, the Racquet Club of Irvine, Great Park in Irvine, and Lakewood Tennis Center. Monday’s final rounds will be held at the Racquet Club.
