The Summer Tennis Season is kicking off with a bang at Billie Jean King (BJK) and El Dorado Park Tennis Centers (ELDO). June marks the beginning of 10-weeks of Summer Tennis Camps at both tennis centers. The camps began on June 19th and are offered every week through August 25th. Each facility offers half-day and full-day camps. There has been a great turnout in the first couple of weeks. The camps are designed by our USPTA certified tennis pros to be very fun and challenging. Their goal is to teach or introduce the game of tennis as well as values of good sportsmanship to each and every child from the novice to the more advanced players.

On June 17, we were thrilled to have Tennis Legend and Hall-of-Famer Michael Chang and current coach of 9th ranked player in the world Kei Nishikori visit El Dorado Park Tennis Center for a clinic and courtside conversation and autograph session where Michael shared his thoughts of tennis and life. Everyone who attended felt honored to listen and ask questions of the Hall-of-Famer and afterwards was able to get a picture with Michael along with his autograph.
That same weekend El Dorado Park Tennis Center was selected as one of the seven host sites for the 115th Annual Southern California Junior Sectional Championships. This event is the LARGEST annual junior tennis tournament in the United States. The tournament ran from the June 17- 26 and had over 1000 competitors this year, ages 10-18, from all over Southern California.
We look forward to another busy summer and welcoming new players to both of our outstanding tennis facilities.
