The Palisades Tennis Club will host the 91st Pacific Southwest Open Championships, September 10-17 in Newport Beach.
Men’s Singles and Doubles highlight the annual event which dates back to 1927 – one of the oldest and longest running tournaments in Southern California.
This is the 22nd year the tournament has been held at Palisades.
From Pancho Gonzales to Jimmy Connors, some of the most recognizable players in tennis history have won the Pacific Southwest title. Rod Laver and Bobby Riggs, both inductees to the Southern California Tennis Hall of Fame this October, are also former champions. Ken Stuart, the club’s owner and Pacific Southwest Tournament Director, is also a 2017 inductee.
