Southern California Section Announces 2018 NTRP FAST4 Section Championship
A new Section Championship using the FAST4 format will be held on January 20-21, 2018 at Braemar Country Club in the San Fernando Valley.
The event will be for Men/Women Singles and Doubles at the 3.5/4.0/4.5 NTRP levels only. Players must have a valid computer rating. Matches will be 2 out of 3 Tiebreak Sets in a round robin format.
Under FAST4, all Sets will be No-Ad scoring and each set will be to 4 Games with a Tie Break at 3 All. The Tie Break will be to 5 points, with sudden death at 4 all.

Southern California Section criteria to qualify for entry into the 2018 NTRP National Championship.
The section is allotted 3 slots in the each of the Men and Women’s 3.5/4.0/4.5 Singles and Doubles events.
The first slot will be offered to the highest ranking player in the 2017 Year End NTRP Rankings.
The second slot will be offered to the person with the most points in the 2017 Year End Grand Prix Point Rankings.
The third slot will be offered to the winner of the 2018 Fast4 NTRP Championship.
Should the number 1 player on a Ranking list choose not to participate in the 2018 National Championships, the spot will be offered to the next player in line. Should the same person qualify in more than 1 list, the NTRP Ranking list results will take precedent over the other two.
