“Wow what a most Blessed Incredible Day it was but to spend it on the courts with all of YOU”!

It’s been almost a month ago but I’m still trying fully digest all the emotions that comes along with putting on such an event! 

All the highs & lows & yes even those last minute potential surprise disaster moments. As this was #1MorePush first official event!

I can’t say enough about the commitment & passion Mr. Nelson shares in supporting the game of wheelchair tennis! The enthusiasm & welcome support from his staff & club members allowing us in there tennis home was just amazing!

The day included a combination of specific on-court instruction & fun competitive play with “Run N Roll” doubles action! We also had a special visit from So Cal own pioneers of our game Mr. Steve Everett, as he shared during our lunch hour how the sport impacted his life & where he is at today. In total we had 20 participants that day!  As we “Re-Introduce Ourselves”.

I saw faces hadn’t seen in almost 20 yrs., yet at the same time I also saw some all new familiar faces, such as 6 year old Young Players. Only couple weeks prior was on my courts tearing it up, Angel City Games.

It was such a privileged opportunity in sharing my passion, my vision, my love, for a sport that has given me so much!  More importantly sharing my Mothers “Spirit & Legacy” each & every time I hit the courts with my young players.

It was such a honor to have given this opportunity to grow, to learn, to share & collaborate, yet still continually educating myself in my field as I’m Blessed to have those unique special individuals like yourself as examples to learn from!

Thank You Mr. Nelson & Your Coaching Staff as we all shared together “Inclusion Not Exclusion” amazing day on the courts! Coach Dee Henry “only trying following your foot steps” Thank You for countless hours you given to our sport over the years & for leading a path in which I hope to learn from.

Thanks goes out to my team “West Coast Wheelchair Tennis Association” (my other half/partner) for your confidence in allowing me to do me.  To my new second  tennis family much love & respect to the entire “Anderson” Fam Bam! Always being that ear for me for advice & at times much needed harsh honesty. I would also like to Thank ATC house photographer Mr. Fred Clayton for these awesome photos!

Lastly Special Thanks to my entire So Cal Wheelchair Tennis Community & those few special friends in which I call “Family” for your on going support & believing in me & the 1MorePush Movement!!
