Tory Bailey Earns Second-Team All-Conference Honors at Howard University

The SCTA Foundation congratulates Tory Bailey for receiving Second-Team All-Mid-Eastern Athletic (MEAC) Conference honors for his freshman season at Howard University. Bailey, a Los Angeles native, is a former scholarship recipient from the SCTA Foundation and a proven winner on and off the tennis court.

“We are so proud of him with regard to his freshman year experiences,” said Bailey’s grandmother, Beverly Dawson. “He loves the school environment and he has done extremely well on the tennis team.”

Bailey helped Howard University finish with a 3-2 conference record and the team was 6-8 overall. This season as an individual, he led the Bison with a five-match winning streak in singles. Personally, he finished the year with a 3-1 conference record, and he was 5-6 overall.  On March 30, Bailey was named MEAC Rookie of the Week

“Tory has continued to show the same drive and determination we saw in him as a junior,” said Linda Milan, the Executive Director from the SCTA Foundation. “His college results are just as extraordinary. We’re excited for his future and continue to cheer him on in college.”
