Southern California juniors Tristan Boyer and Brandon Nakishima will begin play at the French Open Junior event on Sunday.
The pair, who played in the final of the USTA International Spring Championships in Carson just last month, have been traveling around Europe the past few weeks and getting accomplished to the European red clay.
The 17-year-old Boyer from Altadena is the No. 11-seeded player and will face French qualifier Luka Pavlovic in the first round.
The 16-year-old Nakashima from San Diego drew No. 3-seeded Rudolf Molleker of Germany.
Nakashima advanced to the singles quarterfinals and doubles semifinals in Belgium just days ago and was unable to play qualifying, so he got into the main draw with a Special Exemption.
Boyer played two Futures events in Egypt and the Milan Grade 1 Junior event last week.
He spent a week at the Mouratoglou Academy where both Serena Williams and Bernard Tomic tuned up for the French Open. Boyer is currently ranked No. 9 in the world ITF junior rankings.
