What’s ahead for the SCTA in 2017? How about we all resolve to play more tennis this year, and here at the Southern California Tennis Association, we’re here to help you.
The USTA is once again offering the ”First Year Free” campaign so if you know a youngster who is interested in or just starting out in tennis, here is the perfect opportunity for them to experience the fun of the game and get a free one year USTA Membership and an annual subscription to Bounce , the tennis newsletter just for kids. For details go to http://membership.usta.com/content.jsp?pageName=10UJRFREE
The SCTA will also be continuing our partnership with Tennis Warehouse as our official Sportsmanship Sponsor. We will be rewarding players for great sportsmanship at select events across the section with Tennis Warehouse gift cards, so get out there and have fun, and who knows, maybe you’ll walk away with a gift card too.
We’ll be launching several new marketing campaigns on all our digital and social media platforms, including twitter, Instagram and Facebook, so be sure to follow and like us.

- The USTA Player Development pipeline is full of young Americans hopeful of breaking into the big leagues. We’ll be providing regular posts on these rising starts, their recent accomplishments and results, so you can all be in the know on the future stars of American professional tennis.
- But it is not just the pros we’re interested in, there’s a lot of members doing great things out there and we want to share their news with you. So from juniors to adults, league players to wheelchair players, from umpires to volunteers, we’ll be posting regular member profiles too.
- And if improving your game is on your list of resolutions, be on the look out for regular tennis tips and instructional features from some of the best teaching pros and coaches in Southern Cal.
